Is there a plugin that generates llms.txt for a WordPress or WooCommerce store? Yes, and it is free.
LLMBOO's free plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce generates llms.txt and llms-full.txt from your own catalogue, serves a Markdown version of every page, and adds structured data and product feeds, refreshed daily. There is a version for OpenCart 4 as well. You download it from llmboo.com and paste in a free API key.
What the plugin publishes
- llms.txt and llms-full.txt: a short guide to your store and its full text, written for AI assistants, on your own domain.
- Markdown pages: a clean text version of every page, served when an assistant asks for it.
- Product feeds: your catalogue with prices and availability, in the ChatGPT and Google Merchant formats.
- Structured data and FAQ: schema.org facts about your organisation, products and common questions.
- Signed usage rights (ARPP): a signed statement of how assistants may use your content.
Each of these has its own switch in the plugin settings. Deactivating the plugin stops all of them.
Which platforms
| Platform | Status | What it reads |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress 5.6 or later, WooCommerce ready | Available, free download | Your WooCommerce products and every page |
| OpenCart 4.x | Available, free download | Your OpenCart catalogue; one upload, no theme edits |
| Shopify | Early access | App with a theme app embed; catalogue syncs daily |
| Wix | Early access | Works with Wix Stores |
How to install it
- Download the .zip from llmboo.com/plugins.
- Upload it. WordPress: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → choose the .zip → Activate. OpenCart: Extensions → Installer → upload the .ocmod.zip, then enable it under Extensions.
- Add your key. Sign in at llmboo.com/login (free, no card), copy the API key from your dashboard and paste it in the plugin's settings. Saving the key starts publishing.
You can read every file before it goes live: the same files are in the Fixes tab of your dashboard, to preview or download.
What llms.txt will and will not do
llms.txt is a proposed convention, not a rule. No AI company has promised to read it, and publishing one will not by itself make an assistant recommend you. It costs nothing to publish, and the other things the plugin adds are used today: assistants and search engines read structured data, product feeds and clean, readable pages.
What gets a store named in an answer is mostly what is written about it elsewhere. The plugin makes sure that when an assistant does come to your site, it can read it.
Not on WordPress or OpenCart?
The same files can be downloaded from your LLMBOO dashboard and uploaded by hand; a README inside says where each one goes. Shopify and Wix apps are in early access: write to hello@llmboo.com.
Common questions
Is the plugin free?
Yes, on every plan including the free one. It needs a free LLMBOO API key, which you get by signing in with Google, GitHub or an emailed link.
Is it in the WordPress.org plugin directory?
Not yet. For now you download the .zip from llmboo.com/plugins and upload it in WordPress under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
Does it change my theme or my pages?
No theme edits. It adds new files and data alongside your pages, and each output can be switched off on its own.
How often are the files refreshed?
Daily, from your own catalogue, so prices and availability stay current.
Can I see the files before they are published?
Yes. The same files are shown in the Fixes tab of your LLMBOO dashboard, where you can read or download them first.
How do I remove it?
Deactivate the plugin. Everything it was publishing stops.
